uMhlanga Lighthouse

First up is Umhlanga Lighthouse in KwaZulu- Natal. Completed in 1954 in just under five days, this lighthouse is still as perfect as the day it was opened. Grab a cocktail in the hotel and get a perfect Insta snap.

The Bo-kaap

The Bo-Kaap is one of Cape Town’s most distinct neighbourhoods and there’s much much to see, taste and insta snap! Situated at the foot of Signal Hill, the Bo-Kaap’s origins date back to the 1760s where rental houses were built and leased to slaves. These people, the Cape Malays, were brought from Malaysia, Indonesia and the rest of Africa to work in the Cape. To this day, the houses are a mix of Cape Dutch and Georgian architecture, in distinctive multi-coloured rows on steeply cobbled roads. It’s the perfect place to learn about our past as a country and take that memorable Instapic.

Jacaranda Trees, Pretoria

The most beautiful eruption of purples take over Pretoria as a nod to the passing of Winter and the coming of Spring.  They line the roads, especially in Brooklyn. Gorgeous to look at, they make wonderful backdrops to an insta snap!

Bloubergstrand

Want an iconic, world famous insta-worthy snap? Then head to the windy shores of Bloubergstrand. You will be able to snap a pic on one of the most famous vantage points in the world. It’s a place that drives South Africans across the world to tears when they see images of it and everyone else that hasn’t been to our country, crazy with envy!
